9 Mysterious Creatures Hidden In Famous Video Games

1. The Ghost Girl - Pokemon Omega Ruby And Alpha Sapphire

Pokemon Omega Ruby And Alpha Sapphire's ghost girl is so mysterious that she's almost impossible to spot unless you already know where to look.

As you make your way through the game, you'll eventually come face-to-face with a Pokemon trainer named Phoebe, who loves using Ghost Pokemon. Quite fitting, considering what happens when you meet her.

While talking to Phoebe, she'll tell you her name, and that she's a member of the Elite Four. At this point, the screen will slowly fade to black, but just before the darkness takes over completely, glance at the chair nestled in the back of the room: if you keep your eyes peeled, you'll spot a pale white figure sitting in this chair, but only for a frame or two.

She's difficult to make out clearly even when you freeze the video, but she's definitely there. And, as if that's not creepy enough, the ghost girl will move during the next part of the cutscene.

Notice how the camera is now from the chair's point of view? In the cutscene itself, the camera rises slightly - as though it's getting up from the chair - and moves closer to the player, before coming to a stop. Here, the angle changes once again.

The ghost girl is now stood over the player's left shoulder, obscured just enough to make her difficult to pick out during a normal playthrough, but not so hidden that there's any doubt that she's actually there.

Interestingly, once the battle with Phoebe is over, the ghost girl is nowhere to be found. There are countless theories attempting to explain her presence (a popular one being that she's Phoebe's grandma), but with no definitive answers, this spectre remains one of Pokemon's most compelling mysteries.

He has been writing and video editing since his early teens, and first got a taste for content creation after making his own Doctor Who trailers, off the back of a burning obsession with the Matt Smith era of the show.
