While cruder than its successor, and fast-paced to the point of being barely controllable, it's worth tipping your hat to this pioneering building sim. If there's one criticism that can be made of the game, it's that creepy, nauseating intro movie that does its best to undermine the fun of actually playing it. It just makes the eponymous theme park look so forlorn and empty - whereas actually it's a chaotic hell-hole full of children screaming, vomiting and flying off your poorly-built roller coasters. No developer managed to make things going wrong as entertaining as Bullfrog did.
