9 PC Games That Will Make You Nostalgic For The 90s

3. Sid Meier's Civilization II

If you're a longtime devotee to the Civ cult, then you'll know that these games aren't about the graphics, but about fulfilling the fantasy of guiding a nation throughout human history. Civilization II was widely held to be one of the greatest games ever upon its release, and the only reason it still isn't is because its successors have done so well in building on it (though some zealots still consider this the pinnacle of the series). It also packs some much-loved features that were inexplicably omitted from later games in the series, leaving a little bit in all of us pining for the good old days. Who didn't love the City View, for example, or the ability to deck out your throne room as a testament to your greatness? You may start playing this classic as a trip down memory lane, but before you know it hours have gone by and you're struggling to not just have one... more... turn. Or ten.
