9 Pokémon That Are Cheap Knock-Offs Of Previous Ones

1. Alomomola Is A Knock-off Of Luvdisc

Luvdisc Of all the Pokémon that could have been recreated to form new ones, why Luvdisc? When Alomomola was first introduced to the public many fans naturally speculated that it was a new evolution for Luvdisc. Boy, were we surprised when what we got wasn't a somewhat better version of a super lame Pokémon, but just another lame Pokémon. Luvdisc like many Pokémon before it has received a great deal of negative attention. It's a fish shaped like a heart, and they named it... Luvdisc? Strike one. Despite having no other evolved forms Luvdisc has only semi-decent overall stats. Strike two. If you look at it from a certain angle it kind of resembles a.... um, strike three! Whereas Alomomola has had it's design improved upon its still nothing more than a cheap knock-off of Luvdisc. They couldn't have made it a different color? They couldn't have given it more physical depth? They couldn't have made it look less like a... um... strike three! Let's hope that Game Freak has learned from these mistakes and that the new Pokémon of X and Y are both original and awesome enough to keep us Pokémaniacs satisfied. And a little word of advice to the designers - if you do run out of ideas just stick away from previous abominations such as Luvdisc. We'll be glad you did. If you disagree with any of the Pokémon on this list or have some ideas of your own leave us a comment below.
