7. Man’s Best Friend - Grand Theft Auto V

This is so early in the list to bum you out like this but it should come as no surprise that there’s plenty of interesting obscure side content in GTA 5.

There are a pile of things to be found in the action adventure epic and one involves following a little dog who can be spotted wandering on his own. If you decide to give up whatever you were up to in your high-stakes action journey to mosey along behind this little pupper you’ll see that he trots all the way to the cemetery and stops to sit at one grave in particular.

Presumably, this is the grave of the dog’s owner and yes, it’s exactly as sweet and tear-jerking as you’d expect.

It’s suspected that this little side story is a reference to the dog Greyfriars Bobby, who spent 14 years watching over his deceased owner’s grave. This is all getting very sad, let’s talk about things that aren’t real now.
