9 Reasons Red Dead Redemption 2 Is Better Than GTA 5

5. Clothing That Stays When You Fast-Travel

Why, oh why, did Rockstar make it so whenever we change clothes in GTA V... they disappear?

Assumedly it was done to show that these characters have lives even when we're not looking, and to that end, it's realistic. But regardless, it completely eliminated the very idea of customisation. There was no point splashing out on a particular outfit if the character themselves is going to take it off.

The exact opposite is the case in RDR2. Arthur can be outfitted with a ginormous array of items, and all can be layered or set as you like. Sleeves can be rolled up, moustaches and beards styled, hair slicked back or grown out. You can look like everyone from Clint Eastwood to Westworld's Man in Black, and the world will also comment on you being a "slick fella" depending on your choice of threads.
