9 Reasons Skyrim Is Still One Of The Best Video Games Of All Time
5. Difficulty Literally Caters To Everyone
Want to equip a dual-handed battle axe and send some skeletons careening down a mountainside? Standard or lowered difficulty will sort you out nicely. You won't even have to worry too much about random dragon attacks, either, and you'll more often than not get a finishing animation of crushing their skull in slow motion.
On the other hand, if you're more partial to a Dark Souls-like setup and prefer your combat brutally hard, just crank up the sliders and watch enemies have your expectations for breakfast. Suddenly those skeletons are putting up one hell of a fight, you'll need to get used to what range equals damage from their attacks and which of your own moves have momentum that can carry you out of harm's way, or set you up for a crushing counter.
Skyrim takes on a whole new lease of life if you play on these higher difficulties, but if you'd rather play the equivalent of an overpowered warrior screaming, "DOVAHKIIN, B*TCH!", feel free.
