9 RPG Boss Attacks That Were Utter BS
3. Weiss The Immaculate’s Immaculate End - Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade
Our final Final Fantasy entrant for this list goes to none other than Weiss The Immaculate who you can encounter in the Combat Simulator in Final Fantasy VII Remake Integrade.
That’s the expanded version of the original and checking it out is the only way to battle this particular spikey-haired baddie. Of course you might not want to do that because he sucks.
Not only is Weiss enormously aggressive and speedy, he’s also very tricky to counter and rightly so since you can only face off against him in hard mode. He’s an absolutely brutal opponent who comes at you with very fast sword attacks that will flatten your party in a heartbeat. Even if you manage to stay on your feet which is an accomplishment in and of itself given many of his attacks do thousands of points of damage, he’ll eventually execute a totally BS move called Immaculate End which does 9,999 damage to every one of your party members and effectively ends the encounter.
To be fair, this attack is effectively a timer, forcing you to finish the fight faster, but when he’s already so hard to take on in every second of the face-off, it’s a bitter way to end.
He does get staggered when you manage to evade him so the key to success here is pulling off a series of precise dodges, follow-up attacks, and key abilities while tabbing between your party members. While you might break a few controllers in the process this is absolutely a fight you won’t forget, whether you pull it off or not.
