Surely the biggest announcement from this year's TGS was the reveal that Square Enix is working on a new third-person survival shooter with many former Metal Gear alums.

The trailer didn't give too much away but did tease a post-apocalyptic world filled with mechs, with a style and tone incredibly similar to the Metal Gear franchise.

That shouldn't be remotely shocking with legendary Metal Gear and Death Stranding character designer Yoji Shinkawa working on it, while the game will be directed by Armored Core producer-director Toshifumi Nabeshima.

Post-conference details revealed that the game will be part of the Front Mission series, transpiring between Front Mission 5 and Front Mission Evolved in 2127 Russia, and will see players switching between three characters throughout the story. So far, so good.
