9 Times Wrestlers Used Their Finishing Moves In Video Games

8. "Rowdy" Roddy Piper - Saints Row IV

King Of Fighters All Star Seth Rollins
Volition

Shortly before his untimely passing, "Rowdy" Roddy Piper made a cameo appearance in Volition's hysterical Saints Row IV, playing a small role in Keith David's nightmare simulation.

In the hilarious mission "He Lives," Piper and David re-enact their iconic alleyway fight scene from the classic 1988 John Carpenter thriller They Live, with Piper beating the snot out of David in order to break his mind control.

In a cutscene, we see Piper nailing David with numerous moves, including a Clothesline, Dropkick, Inverted Atomic Drop, and Backbreaker, before putting him down with his real-life finishing move, the Sleeper Hold.

As an extra Easter egg for wrestling fans, when the player approaches the ongoing fight, they'll be able to hear the faint sound of bagpipes, referencing Piper's iconic entrance theme and foreshadowing his imminent arrival. Brilliant.
