8. All Of The Main Characters Had Their Legs Removed - Star Fox

The Theory

Ever wondered why it appears that Star Fox cast of characters have metal legs? There's an answer to that thanks to the game's fans: apparently, the team all had their legs removed to stop them having blood flow problems that would cause them to pass out in flight.

That would be why Slippy Toad doesn't have the usual amphibian legs and tell-tale webbed feet and why Falco Lombardi doesn't have claws. Grim, but functional.

The Rejection

Game creator Shigeru Miyamoto revealed that Miyamoto revealed in conversation with The Game Theorists that the theory is nothing more than fancy. Less glamorously (and less grotesquely, perhaps too), the legs were a stylistic choice to make the animals look more human-like.

In other words, they have their legs still, they just wear boots that hide the fact.
