Even if the reward for something isn't technically bad on paper, the effort required can make the whole process feel insulting by the end.

To that end, Wind Waker's Savage Labyrinth is an optional dungeon that's just a series of combat encounters to get a prize. The Labyrinth will demand EVERYTHING of you, throwing tough enemies back to back from each other, few if any recovery items, and zero checkpoints despite its nightmarish length. Fortunately, only the first half is mandatory, as you need to clear around 30 or so floors to get one of the triforce charts to beat the game. But that leaves a LOT of labyrinth left for you to conquer.

Naturally, one would expect quite a reward from this. Perhaps a stronger outfit? A buff to the master sword? A policeman you can inform about Tingle so that creepy weirdo is finally locked away for good? Hell even a full heart piece would make it worthwhile.

But no, instead you get a single piece of heart. All that effort; all that fighting, for an item you trip over every 30 feet.
