9 Video Game Rewards You Shouldn't Accept
3. Hestu's Gift - The Legend Of Zelda: Breath Of The Wild
The longest side-quest in BOTW is the hunt for the korok seeds. There are over 900 of the things scattered throughout Hyrule, and you only really need half of them to get maximum inventory space. But what happens when you collect them all? Surely there's got to be SOMETHING for that much trouble.
When will you people learn that that mindset is the devil talking in your ear?
For bringing Hestu every single korok seed in the game, you are "rewarded" with Hestu's Gift, a giant gold "korok seed" given to Link as a sign of "friendship".
Well, it's poop. The big tree man pooped in your hand. All that effort, all that time, and you get poop in your hand.
And no, you tragically cannot viciously murder Hestu after this.
On the other hand, the game makes it clear when you've filled out your inventory and cannot expand it any further, and since that was the only reason you were collecting these things to begin with, any other labor on top of that is on you.
"Never perform uncompensated labor, your paymaster will only use your passion to exploit you" - a message brought to you by Nintendo.
