9 Video Games That Are Absolutely Perfect Stress-Relievers
5. Guitar Hero
Being a real musician is too much like hard work, that's why the rock gods invented Guitar Hero. Making its debut in 2005, Guitar Hero went on to revolutionise the way we can interact with games. Taking the basic principles of games like Dance Dance Revolution, developers Harmonix created a universe in which anyone can pick up a fake plastic guitar and become a rock legend. It also helped that it had an impressive soundtrack to go along with the fake shredding, though the songs featured in Guitar Hero were mainly covers until Guitar Hero 3 when an expanded budget meant master recordings could be used. However that didn't stop people from donning their favourite glitter wigs, covering themselves in war-paint and generally having a fun time. Though Activision are no longer churning out annual iterations of Guitar Hero (they're saving that dubious honour for Call of Duty now) it still remains popular as a party game and is excellent fun when you just need to zone out and pretend you're David Bowie - albeit a much less cool version.
