9 Video Games Coming In 2018 You've Already Forgotten About

6. Crackdown 3

State Of Decay 2
Microsoft

This is it. This time, Crackdown 3 is going to meet its launch deadline - it has to, or else we could well be looking at another Scalebound.

Two delays and a series of protracted periods of radio silence from Microsoft has seen anticipation for one of the Xbox One's only first-party exclusives teeter back and forth between excitement and apathy, especially given the, let's say, rather 'ordinary' gameplay sequences shown off since 2016.

The full-scale destruction unveiled as part of the threequel's original announcement had us all chomping at the bit for more. Two, almost three years later, we've not heard a peep about the ambitious cloud-based system.

In the absence of a constant drip feed of new details keeping fans of metropolis-sized mayhem hooked, our minds can only be left to speculate as to why its arrival is taking so long.

Here's to hoping Terry Crews wasn't brought on board for a video game destined for the trash can. There's been enough wasted potential this year, Microsoft. Not again, please!
