9 Video Games That Make More Money In A Day Than You Ever Will
6. PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds
Daily Revenue: $645k (100 million total revenue, divided by 155 days since release)
A relatively low figure by comparison to the others on this list, but PUBG is still 2017's biggest runaway success story.
Coded by only a handful of folks over at Bluehole and headed by veteran fan-modder Brendan 'PlayerUnknown' Greene, the game has already grossed $100 million since March, and it's not even out of early access.
And why? Because it's - for the first time in a big-budget game - an original concept. Or rather, it's original in video games, taking the Battle Royale movie setup and applying it to 100 players. All must drop into an area before scavenging to survive against an ever-decreasing map size, and it means at any given time you're scouring around for weapons and armour whilst looking over your shoulder, finding spots to hide and thinking of tactics on the fly.
The result has clearly been welcomed by the masses on PC, and once this gets introduced to the console market - off the back of the Xbox One X's most likely timed exclusivity - it's going to go thermonuclear.
