9 Video Games That Mock You For Playing On Easy

7. God Hand

God Hand
Capcom

Another Shinji Mikami venture for you here, but in the beat ‘em up genre, I guess he’s got something against players who would rather not embark on his intended difficulty because God Hand slides right in as another game that has special mockery up its sleeve for players weary from the grind of higher difficulty modes.

Also, let’s be clear, this is another game that most players found to be very difficult even on Normal.

If you choose the Easy option on the game’s opening screen, protagonist Gene will break the fourth wall and say to you, “What, you need me to hold your hand or something?” When you’re done gathering your dignity back up off the floor you’ll be able to appreciate that the difficulty level metre which controls enemy aggression and intelligence caps out at 2 instead of 4, you take less damage, the game spawns more items, as well as a handful of other bonuses.

If you need a minute or two to mend your relationship with the cheeky anti-hero, though, we’d understand.
