For those with the dedication there’s no feat more impressive than attaining 100% in a video game.

Whether it’s crossing off a huge collection quest, a completionist milestone, or a total platinum, you’re going to need a heavy dose of skill and a crap tonne of time to see the majority of these video game challenges through to the end. And so that’s why it’s particularly disappointing when you put in the time and effort only to discover there’s no pot of gold at the end of that rainbow, just an enormous waste of your own time.

For whatever reason the developers of the following games decided that instead of rewarding you for your efforts, they’d make you wonder why you even bothered.

Whether they reduced rewards the more you worked for them, offered you a pitiful alternate outcome for your impressive time input or flat out criticised you for trying, no one was happy they achieved 100% in these entries.
