A deck-building game is fairly self-explanatory: it's a game that consists of cards only, and involves the player perfecting their deck in order to play the optimal combination of cards at the correct time. The Street Fighter deck-building game lasts around forty-five minutes and is two to five players.

You begin by taking on the role of either Ryu, Ken, Chun-Li, Balrog, M.Bison, or one of several other iconic franchise characters. Beginning with a deck consisting of just the ten basic combat manoeuvres, you gradually draw new cards and make purchases from a central reserve in order to hone your fighting prowess.

The aim of the game is to beat as many 'Stage Bosses' as possible. When feeling up to the challenge, players can take on these bosses in battle, gaining victory points for defeating them but risking a loss if they aren't powerful enough. It may not be complicated, but it's a fun little game nevertheless, capturing the combat-centered essence of the video game.
