9 Ways Assassin's Creed Odyssey Is Dividing The Fanbase

2. You Don't Look Or Feel Like An Assassin

The most obvious takeaway from every piece of footage and gameplay feature mentioned so far:

"So... we're not an assassin anymore?"

Well, yes and no. A lot of the animations are carrying over once again from Origins - though even there, they didn't "belong" to the Order until Bayek and Aya formed the Creed at the very end.

Interestingly, Odyssey is said to take place 200 years BEFORE the events of Origins and the formation of the Assassins/Hidden Ones, but even if we go with the idea that Alexios and Kassandra are actually going to end up as Templars, it's an awkward visual seeing them as more Spartan warrior than stealthy killer.

Simply put: Spartan warriors in full gear, leaping about and performing all sorts of quick actions we already associate with various characters from 11 years' worth of games isn't the best foot to put forward.
