Jordan Mechner is best known for creating and designing the legendary Prince of Persia franchise back in 1989, but he's had lifelong filmmaking aspirations and, following the completion of the original game, took several years away from the industry to attend film school.

In 2004 his short film Chavez Ravine: A Los Angeles Story ended up shortlisted for an Academy Award nomination.

But back in 1995, Mechner made a blink-and-you'll-miss-it cameo appearance in the low-budget indie drama The Low Life, which starred the illustrious likes of Renee Zellweger, Sean Astin, Kyra Sedgwick and Ron Livingston.

Mechner was credited as "Man in Bar," and the glasses-clad designer can be briefly seen strumming away in the bar's band at around the 12-minute mark of the movie. Talk about a totally random cameo.
