AEW Fight Forever: 5 Things It Does Better Than WWE 2K23 (And 5 It Doesn’t!)

5. DOESN'T: Production Values

Graphically, Fight Forever never aims for realism. However, WWE 2K23’s lighting engine and overall graphical power would smash any and all competition even if it did. There was no way THQ and Yuke's were topping what 2K achieved after a few years of tweaking their gorgeous systems, basically.

AEW's game is a little more on the cartoony side, but it's all unimpressive by comparison. The lengthy entrance scenes in WWE's titles might not suit everyone, but they're incredible upon first viewing. Meanwhile, Fight Forever's short bursts of customisable pyro and fire don't offer the same wow factor.

They're over too quickly for that.

Some were worried that AEW's game would feel more like a PS2 title than a true next-gen experience pre-release. Those concerns don't exactly ring true now the game is out, but it'd be a definite lie to suggest that Fight Forever comes anywhere close to matching WWE 2K23's lavish production values overall. It really, really doesn't.
