AEW Video Game Wishlist: 10 Things Fans Demand

4. A Compelling Story Mode

Here's another gap AEW can plug.

WWE's games no longer have a dedicated story mode that lets you play as an authentic star from Raw, SmackDown or NXT. Sure, Universe scratches a few itches here and there, but it's not quite the same as guiding someone's career through all the ups and downs that come with pro wrestling telly.

AEW's product has the benefit of feeling totally fresh to gamers. Taking Jungle Boy to the AEW Title, for example, is something people have never been able to do before (unless they've created both JB and the belt in 2K's series). That newness is something Yuke's need to take advantage of.

Fans should be able to choose a young buck (perhaps literally) like that, or step into the boots of a legend such as Chris Jericho. Ploughing through episodes of Dynamite, Rampage, Dark and more en route to huge matches on pay-per-view sounds like a damn good time.

The devs can go wild with this.
