After Skyrim: 10 Awesome Predictions for the Future of the Elder Scrolls Series

2. Addition of Online Co-Op

I€™m actually fairly confident that this prediction could come true. Online gameplay is something of a must in today€™s modern market and while its absence is generally forgiven in a series like Elder Scrolls, the recent inclusion of a co-op mode in Mass Effect 3 coupled with the unprecedented popularity of the Borderlands franchise makes me believe that fully co-op open world RPG gameplay is totally doable. Imagine storming Tamriel (or beyond?) with your best friend, your brother, your girlfriend or boyfriend at your side. Could there be a greater experience? Imagine dungeons designed specifically for two, three and four players complete with multi-layered puzzles, challenges and tougher bosses designed to be beaten through teamwork. It€™d be like WoW, except much, much, much better. And if you ask me, this is a total possibility. If Bethesda ever decided to go the co-op route, we might be looking at not just the best game in the Elder Scrolls series but potentially the greatest RPG ever made by human hands and minds. I€™m totally game; are you?
