Aliens: Colonial Marines: 10 Reasons You Should Be Excited

1. The Future Of Aliens: Colonial Marines

With games almost always receiving a sequel if well received, it would be strange if Gearbox didn't make a sequel. Along the lines of making future content official canon, it could open up entirely new road to explore which probably would have never happened, like the purpose of the Xenomorph, where did they originate and what does an Arcturian look like? James Cameron designed a fertile universe with a ton of possibilities, and Gearbox should grab that potential to develop the universe further. What's to stop a story in future in which a dozen xeno eggs get transported to fully prospered planet for experimentation, somehow they managed to get out and now an entire city is infested with these creatures? The scale of conflict could then escalate to humanity declaring war on the xenos, giving players an opportunity to see the full might of the Colonial Marines arsenal in open warfare. Ultimately how they approach the sequel is irrelevant at this stage, but with their foot in the door it would be insane if Gearbox let this franchise go. Are you excited for Aliens: Colonial Marines?
