Aliens: Colonial Marines: 10 Reasons You Should Be Excited

5. Competitive Multiplayer

Multiplayer is one of those features you love or hate: in Mass Effect, it's highly likely that fans of the series would have preferred Bioware's resources pooled into the single player mode rather than introducing a feature with no character. In the case of Aliens: Colonial Marines, multiplayer is an exciting, tense and rewarding experience. But what makes this multiplayer different from the others on the market? Unlike Call of Duty where humans are paired against one another, you'll either be playing the marines or the xenomorphs. Their mechanics are completely different from one another, with the xenomorphs played in third person with the ability to see other xenomorphs and marines through walls. Another cool feature is that you'll be able to play as different variations like the crusher. Randy Pitchford has said that both the marines and xenos are totally asymmetrical, which is clearing shown in its multiplayer. It even grasps the core element of horror that if you go wandering by yourself, your gonna get killed. Having played a few rounds of team deathmatch myself, this feature will give consumers a fresh take on multiplayer for even the most hardened of gamers.
