Animal Crossing: 10 Wonderful Tiny Details You've Probably Missed

8. Weather Forecasting

Yeah, bet you didn't know you could actually find out what your in-game weather is going to be prior to your town booting up, did you?

There are a few ways to find out what the weather's going to be like before you start playing - the first is by looking at the window behind Isabelle during her morning announcements. If it's raining that day, you'll notice raindrops cascading down from the sky and crawling slowly down the glass.

What's even cooler, though, is that you can forecast the weather by watching television in your game.

Contrary to what some may believe, TVs in Animal Crossing don't merely flash random pictures when you turn them on; they actually have a set schedule that they abide by each day. While the A.M. weather reports at 6:15, 7:45, and 11:45 respectively are a bit useless seeing as you've already been outside prior to watching, the 6:30 and 10:45 P.M. forecasts are super helpful because they give you a preview of what you can expect from tomorrow's weather.

Considering certain events in the game are triggered by weather, this method is a lot easier than simply turning your game off for the day and hoping for proper weather tomorrow.
