Anthem: 10 Major Fixes It Desperately Needs

How to save BioWare's epic misfire.

Anthem has been the talk of the gaming town for the last few weeks, with EA and BioWare launching the AAA blockbuster a week early on their EA/Origin Access service ahead of its concrete launch last Friday.

But from diving back into Anthem after playing it during the early access period - resulting in our scathing review - it's clear that release day patching has done little to remedy most of the game's nagging issues.

Anthem is not a game beyond saving - just look at what happened to No Man's Sky - but it will require an enormous force of will from BioWare to bring it up to an acceptable standard.

This list includes practical(ish) fixes which could be deployed, rather than pipe-dreams that likely aren't even technically possible, such as drastically reducing the loading times (which would require an engine other than Frostbite).

Some of these 10 major fixes would take time to employ, while others could probably be introduced within a matter of days or weeks, but it's ultimately down to the publisher and the developer, and whether or not they're actually keen to repair the game or cut their losses following its mediocre commercial debut.
