Anthem 2.0 Wishlist: 8 Ways To Fix The Game

2. True Endgame Content And Progression

The endgame for Anthem at launch was weak to say the least. Three strongholds, no way to replay story missions and no Cataclysm/raid.

These were all things players assumed would be a given, based off of the backlash Destiny and The Division received when they launched, but unfortunately, Bioware didn't learn from their competitor's mistakes. So how do we fix it?

New end game missions and strongholds are non-negotiable. These should offer new locations as well as gameplay mechanics. For example, missions in space could offer slower speed, but faster cooldowns versus missions in an arid area offering faster heat buildup, but adding thermal damage to abilities.

The pilot skill tree that was initially teased should be added and it could unlock traits that work across all javelins. Ability cooldowns, flight time, weapon damage, etc. could all be possible options.

Finally, the Cataclysm has to be improved. This was a huge selling point in the first trailer and for players to have to wait months to play it only to be disappointed was a big misstep.

It needs to be re-designed to be more of the epic undertaking players were initially promised, and has to be worth the effort.
