Assassin's Creed Origins: 12 New Gameplay Features You Need To Know

12. Directly Controlling An Eagle (Drone)

Cribbed from Far Cry Primal and Ghost Recon: Wildlands, AC is now getting its own version of a 'drone cam' in the form of an eagle. Yes, it's taken a decade, but we now have literal 'eagle vision'.

How our new protagonist Ba Yek actually sees through the creature's eyes is unknown, but look to the bottom of the screen and you'll see two options for "Stationary Mode" and "Boost" - the former assumedly being a 'hover'.

Sadly this looks as though your eagle won't have the same swoop-kill animations as the birds of Far Cry, but who knows - maybe our feathered friend will get his own skill tree?

Either way, this gets around the annoyance of being spotted from across the map by enemies with perfect sight, as the eagle can be used to scout out huge swathes of the map, tagging enemies that Ba Yek then sees through walls before pressing forward.

It's totally the same system as Far Cry Primal, but hey, if it ain't broke?
