As a way to encourage you into following the archery path, there's now a damage-boost associated with nailing a headshot from afar.

Best of all, the HUD actually pops up and shows you which weapon and damage allowance will factor into the shot - most likely meaning there'll be occasions where you might be able to hot-swap between different bows for different effects.

On top of this, one of Bayek's perks unlocks a slow-motion mode that kicks in whenever you score a headshot. This is chain-able, meaning if you can continually keep ruining craniums, you'll stay in slow-motion and can take out entire squads of foes in one go. Whether this is usable in mid-air though, is yet to be confirmed.
