Assassin’s Creed: 5 Must-Plays & 5 That Suck
4. Sucks: Bloodlines
Attempting to bridge the gap between the first two games in the series, Bloodlines for the PSP never really got any footing.
An ambitious endeavour, the technical limitations of the handheld console left developers the unenviable task of converting a game with the scope of Assassin's Creed to the device - and suffice to say, there were issues.
Granted, it's actually a graphical success given the sheer lack of power the PSP has, but that's where the successes end.
Lumbered with terribly foolish and predictable AI, the game also offered little in terms of extras. Eagle vision - by now a staple of the series - was not included, and the open world felt lifeless and unappealing.
There isn't much to say on this one; it lacks a worthwhile narrative, takes a needless amount of effort to adapt to controls wise, and lacks many beloved features of the series.
This is one to avoid, or to look at from afar simply to appreciate what we have now by comparison.
