Assassin's Creed: 10 Times The Templars Were Right

6. Crawford Starrick's Disdain Towards The Monarchy - Assassin's Creed Syndicate

It's fair to say that Crawford Starrick is a pretty bad dude. Assassin's Creed Syndicate's main baddie, Crawford Starrick is in many ways the ultimate Victorian industrialist. Thanks to a combination of shrewd business and a collection of powerful Templar connections, he owned businesses and influences right across the city of London and saw his profits sky rocket with the rise of British imperialism.

He also possessed that famous Templar greed, wanting to keep powerful artefacts such as the Shroud of Eden all to himself, even if individuals like Lucy Thorne had been instrumental in him finding it. Conservative, arrogant and with an unhealthy obsession for control, every move he made in the game was in the pursuit of better business and a stronger position for himself within the city.

However, underneath Starrick's nasty demeanour lay some pretty undeniable beliefs. For one, he was one of the most vocal voices on the inequality present in Victorian London, believing that the Monarchy, Church and upper classes were the biggest problem and a source of tyranny in the city.

Going out of his way to assassinate Queen Victoria might have been a bit too extreme, but points should go for wanting to move past social inequality.
