Assassin’s Creed 3: 10 Killer Features That Sound Completely Awesome

8. Bow and Arrows

In Assassin's Creed Brotherhood and Revelations, gamers have grown fond of the crossbow, the quieter and easier way to dispatch guards from above. In Assassin's Creed 3 that weapon has been replaced with something extremely similar yet incredibly different. The bow is an ancient weapon that has been used for centuries. This weapon has stood the test of time and, not surprisingly, is still in practice today. As always the Assassin's Creed series is right to it's time zone and culture and gave Connor a bow. Connor's history is the only reason he is using a bow in a time of guns. He is from a Native American tribe that occupied America long before the colonists came. Generation after generation of that tribe used simpler weapons such as the bow, and therefore have passed it down to the newest generation; Connor's. This weapon will be key in hunting and in stealthy assassinations. It will be quieter than the crossbow, but not as powerful. It seems as though one arrow is enough to take down an unsuspecting deer, but an angry soldier? I don't know. Despite that, the bow seems like a great addition to any arsenal and fits perfectly with our character.
