Assassin's Creed 3: 8 Reasons To Be Excited

5. Shiny New Toys

Anyone who has played through the Creed series would be understandably sick of the obscene amount of tools and weapons available towards the end. Carrying the equivalent of a 14th century army surplus around with me was pretty tiresome, especially as the majority of the gear was next to useless. AC3 seems to be addressing this with a much more refined arsenal including the awesome looking but morally questionable Rope Darts, allowing us to lynch unsuspecting bad guys from up in the treetops before swooping down to finish off his buddies. We're also going to be able to play with Connor's bow, a pair of flintlock pistols and of course, the signature Assassin's Blade. While there's no sign of Ezio's dual blades as of yet we can rest easy, our lust for stabbing more than one thing at once will be satisfied as Connor can dual-wield any combination of his weapons in combat, we can also instantly switch between melee and ranged to finish off our foes and we can be sure that we'll look seriously cool while we're at it.
