3. Equal Character Development
Not a particularly strong point for Ezio just in case you weren't sure. As you know Ezio has had the pleasure of having three installments, while Connor only had one, and yet both characters have enjoyed equal character development. Don't believe me? Here is an analysis of both characters and their games. Connor: In AC3, Connor starts off as naive, slightly brash teen to a experienced young man. The change took place at the end of the game, not allowing to see much of this transformation. Ezio: AC2 - Ezio starts off as a charming, charismatic, soon-to be-banker become a charming, charismatic, Assassin. "Assassin" from a career point of view, not an ideological one. This transformation also takes place at the end of the game. ACB - Assassin Ezio is still charming, a strong advocate for justice and is now a figure of authority. Oh, and he has a beard. ACR - Here we have old Ezio who comes with the standard old person "wisdom". You know the one where you just make a quick remark of how you used to be a ladies' man as well with a, "I'm more experienced than you" statement here and there. Oh, his beard is gray, too. But his ending was excellent if that helps. As you can see, Ezio isn't fond of change - he even admits to his lack of development when attempting to murder Rodrigo: "I thought I was over this, but... I'm not." Mighty fine demonstration of choosing justice over revenge Ezio. Just wonderful. Even though he does spare the Pope, that was on the second chance, so he was still planing to kill him. That's not even mentioning the fact that Altair is actually close to to Ezio's and Connor's development when you really think about it. Presumably change isn't important when you get a lot of females.
