Assassin's Creed Comet: 5 Most Believable Rumours We Want To Be True

1. The Return Of George Washington

Given that it has been suggested that Unity will provide some sort of closure to Connor's story, it would only make sense that Comet could wrap up the story of Edward Kenway €“ and give some further backstory to Haytham. While the suggested period has been covered in the novel Forsaken, it would be easy enough to replicate some of those elements to allow for flashbacks to Edward's later life - much as there were snippets of Altair in Assassin's Creed: Revelations. Simply put, Haytham's appearances in Comet need not contradict the novel. Considering that any player who has played through the various Assassin's Creed games will have seen conclusions to both Altair and Ezio's stories, it would seem prudent to give the franchise's other main characters a similar fate. Naturally, it remains to be seen exactly what cameos might take place in either Unity or Comet, but it would be decidedly odd if none took place at all. Given the last instalment in this list, some links to the characters seen in Assassin's Creed 3: Liberation could be expected. One further appearance that would be expected in the French and Indian War scenario is the return of George Washington. But rather than the character we saw towards the end of AC3, this version would be young and much more aggressive in his military tactics €“ and one with possibly the full support of the Templars due to his alignment at the time in the service of the British Army. Not only that, but he was captured by the French in Acadia in 1754. Regardless of exactly who appears, in a North American setting set between AC3 and 4, there is an expectation that Comet would link those two previous games together in a more cohesive manner. That is all the rumours for now €“ but what would you like to see in Comet? Do you think a Templar led game will work and are you happy about returning to 18th Century North America again?
