Now, back to Ancient Greece, and back to film references. 2018's Black Panther was an astonishing hit, wowing audiences and critics alike, even earning itself an Oscar nomination along the way.

But that's not all it got. The makers of Assassin's Creed Odyssey obviously enjoyed the film, as they faithfully recreated an iconic scene here in Ancient Greece.

If you head to Gortyn Waterfall, you'll see two men fighting in a pool near the top. An obvious reference to the two great fight scenes in Black Panther, we hope that this one ends without a new King of Greece.

The scene can be viewed by Eagle Vision, or by hauling your character up the cliff-face for a more personal look at the action, and even intervene if you're so inclined.

This is proof that Black Panther was a film that pushed boundaries and created its own legacy outside of the Marvel franchise, and we can be sure that Ubisoft's staff will be cheering it on at the Oscar's with the rest of us.
