5. Aveline de Grandpré
Avelines last place position on this list may not be surprising anyone right now, but I actually think shes a decent character thats unfortunately just the victim of an uninspired and boring game. I love the fact that Aveline is a strong willed female protagonist that physically matches up to the best of the best assassins, and I also enjoyed her unconventional upbringing as the offspring of a French merchant father and slave mother. Assassins Creed: Liberation as a narrative in a grander scheme just struggles to find a sense of worth and purpose. This constant internal struggle causes the narrative to never actually feel exciting but rather what we all feared Liberation would inevitably be; a game Sony tossed some money towards Ubisoft to make in an effort to give the Playstation Vita something worth playing. Its unfortunate for Aveline because with the production budget of an actual console experience, Ubisoft easily could have fleshed this tale out into something more.
