Assassin’s Creed: Syndicate - 10 Crucial Things It Must Learn From Unity

7. A Great Interdependent Relationship

It's not all negatives to take away from Unity - as although it was so heavily marred by technical errors, tucked away inside 2014's release was a very well-told tale of two adventurers-turned-lovers, torn apart by their respective families. For all that got in the way of Arno and Elise's relationship, there were a number of scenes in which they'd playfully reference past capers and adventures they'd been on, rather like how Nathan Drake and Sully would do the same in the Uncharted series. Nothing establishes a character's abilities faster than that refer to even riskier situations they've made it out of in one piece, and this very witty and fun relationship is perfect for Jacob and Evie to take influence from. Naturally our two Syndicate heroes are brother and sister so they don't need to be influenced by everything Arno and Elise did together - but that sense of them being two rough n' tumble kids who helped each other out of countless scraps is something an entire campaign could hang on, if done well.
