1. It's Fun

So what exactly do Black Flag and Syndicate have in common that makes them so great in comparison to the series' other recent releases? The emphasis on fun. And at the end of the day, why is it we even play video games, if not to have fun?

To that end, the new combat system is an absolute blast, the carriage chases are enthralling and visceral, fighting on the top of moving trains is exciting, and save for the occasional light puzzle to solve, this fun, open-ended gameplay is almost never interrupted by inconveniences.

Ubisoft really seemed to learn there lesson over the years as to what Assassin's Creed fans do and don't consider enjoyable, and with the London-based, excitement-centric adventure that is Assassin's Creed: Syndicate, they absolutely nailed it.

This is a game you can put hours upon hours upon hours into without getting bored, and is that not what we as gamers want?
