All Assassins Creed gamers are used to the parkour/freerunning animations that have been used throughout the series so far. When Connor jumps over a wall, he looked remarkably similar to Ezio and pretty much the same as Edward. If they used different motion capture people for them then they simply were not different enough from each other to warrant the expense. This all looks set to change with Unity, as there is something fresh about these actions. Its no surprise really because professional parkour artist Jesse La Flair has shown images of himself in a motion capture suit and stated that he was working on a very famous video game, which immediately led to fans speculating that it was probably Unity. Of course, he was a little more direct in his teasing as he posted a YouTube video showing how horizontal wall running would be done in Assassins Creed if you could do it in the game. Considering the re-design of the graphics, its safe to say that this will also appear in Unity. So with a combination of the improved graphics on the next-gen console alongside some proper parkour motion capture at long last, Unity looks like itll be a really fresh take on the franchise. All we have to do is now hope that theyve dropped those really awful eavesdropping missions that everyone hates and the new offering will be set to be a massive success. Assassins Creed: Unity is due out on 28th October this year during Ubisofts traditional AC release week. Let us know your thoughts and comments below on what you expect from this new game!
