Assassin's Creed Valhalla: EVERY New Detail You Need To Know
5. New Weapons, Hidden Blade And Improved Enemy Variety
Three common complaints about Odyssey were that there was no hidden blade, many weapons were recycled from Origins and enemy variety was limited outside of the mercenary system. The developers have listened to that feedback and have improved in all three areas.
First, we see in the trailer the hidden blade returns as Eivor takes down a huge enemy warrior that has him on the ropes. Curiously, we see the blade is mounted on the top of his wrist similar to Darius, the first assassin. There are story reasons why his blade is here as opposed to hidden under his wrist, but those have yet to be revealed.
Dual-wielding will be enhanced as players will now be able to dual-wield any combination of weapon and not just daggers. Flails, maces, swords, spears axes, hatchets and even shields (!) can be dual-wielded to the player's content to provide the fighting style they'll feel most comfortable with.
Enemy variety will also be greatly improved as the developer has focused on making more unique enemies as well as more varied enemy types and factions to spice up combat encounters.
