Assassin's Creed: Victory - 10 Locations Far Better Than London

9. World War 2

In perhaps one of the best sections of last year's Unity, our hero, Arno Dorian, saw himself whisked through a time anomaly to 20th century Paris in the midst of World War II. Although you're only there to clamber up the Eiffel Tower and shoot down planes using a mounted machine gun, could this have been Ubisoft testing the waters to see what player reaction towards a WWII game would be? The scope for the series in this time period is almost limitless. Whether it was set in Paris, on the streets of Germany as your character fights against the Nazis (who are secretly affiliated with the Templars) or in other locations across the globe, reliving this time period is an exciting prospect. Although the period has been regularly tapped as a resource for games over the years, they have predominantly been first person shooters. Putting us in the same environment with a third person view, Assassin abilities and Ubisoft's excellent world-building skills would all combine together to create perhaps one of the best games in the series. Why not even really mix things up and have it be the Assassins who kill Hitler at the end, alone in his lonely bunker?
