Assassin's Creed: Victory - 10 Locations Far Better Than London

7. The Future

Although the Animus is specifically designed for reliving the genetic memories of ancestors, who's to say Assassin's Creed won't go full futuristic with an all-new version that jumps you into the future? It's certainly possible. They could either invent an Animus in the present day that has this capability, or - perhaps more plausibly - jump the present-day narrative forward into the future and then have a test subject relive eras that are in our future, but are in their past. Imagine exploring a city of the future as an Assassin. Perhaps civilisation could be enslaved by the power of the Pieces of Eden and your job is to revive the Brotherhood and fight against the evil Templar overlords. Given how useless the Assassins generally are at stopping Templars, we could certainly see them losing the struggle at some point. This would probably only happen if the AC series is in really dire straights and Ubisoft decides to really shake things up. It also gives them more creative license; they're not shackled by history here and can make up their own story as they go along.
