Banjo-Kazooie: Ranking Every Level From Worst To Best
5. Gobi's Valley
Gobi's Valley couldn't rank higher than this because of how cruel you have to be towards Gobi. That poor camel is just minding his own business, yet Banjo and Kazooie endlessly pursue him to Beak Bust him for his water. The game doesn't give anyone a reason to dislike Gobi, so I felt terrible every time I had to hurt the guy for a Jiggy. But when your family is at stake, sacrifices must be made.
Anyway, this level deserves a fair amount of praise. It has some of the best music tracks in the game and possibly the best flying missions in the game, but it does have its flaws. For one, Sandybutt's Tomb can be cruel to novice players, as it instantly kills anyone who cannot traverse the maze quickly enough.
Secondly, the missions can feel repetitive, as the player has to Beak Blast Gobi twice (sad face), shoot eggs into the mouths/noses of multiple different sphinxes, and fly through hoops for both a Jiggy and an extra Honeycomb.
Still, Gobi's Valley is a lot of fun to play and may very well be the best "Ancient Egypt" themed level in gaming history.
