9. Permanent Winter - Batman: Arkham Knight
Batman: Arkham Origins might be the title fans think of when it comes to wintry settings in the series but, through the Seasons of Infamy DLC, Batman: Arkham Knight also houses a hidden Easter egg that is sure to make them feel festive.
From the Cold is a Gotham's Most Wanted mission introduced by the DLC and serves as a character study into Mister Freeze and his attempts to cure his wife, Nora. It's a poignant look at Freeze being more anti-hero than villain, although the most interesting part of this mission is how, depending on when players complete it, Gotham's weather can be permanently altered.
During the mission, the rain in Gotham will change to snow. But, if players activate the Knightfall protocol by completing the main story before starting In From the Cold, this weather effect will remain permanent, giving the game a nice new wintry makeover.
Another fun Easter egg surrounding this mission is that it is actually foreshadowed in Robin's A Flip of a Coin Arkham Episode. In it, Nora's Cryotank can be found in the Trash Disposal facility, an obvious nod to her eventual fate with Freeze.
