Batman: Arkham - 10 Secrets & Events You Definitely Missed

3. Man-Bat's Escape - Batman: Arkham Knight

Batman: Arkham Knight brought with it a number of side quests that saw players attempt to hunt down a number of Gotham's most wanted criminals. One of the most infamous of these criminals is Kirk Langstrom, AKA the Man-Bat.

After being diagnosed with a rare form of chronic deafness, Langstrom fused his DNA with a bat's, resulting in the disfigured creature players encounter in the game. He seemingly killed his wife, with players being able to visit his laboratory and find a "Forever My Love" bloody message left behind.

Players will battle Man-Bat on Bleake and Founders Island, before taking him into custody. Having worked on a cure to his condition with Alfred, if players return to the police department after the mission, they will find a remorseful Langstrom seemingly cured of his affliction. But, if a player visits the GCPD on Halloween either naturally or via changing the date on their system, they will find that he's broken out.

His whereabouts and ultimate fate are left up in the air, making it one of the more ambiguous and somewhat ominous Easter eggs crafted by Rocksteady.
