Overall
Both games are outstanding and are up there with the best games Ive ever played however
Arkham Asylum, quite simply, wipes the floor with Arkham City which chooses open world over the brilliant features of the original and fails to really engage us as much as the predecessor. Both are visually stunning and enjoyable games to play however the level of engagement in Arkham Asylum just outstretches Citys attempt to overawe you with wide eyed size and spectacle. Even though the expanding of City leads to, at times, more interesting game play and improvements of the gadgets and array of things to compete with; this is what is expected when a hugely successful game has a sequel. However where it improves on some of the more superficial aspects its wider scope makes it a poorer article to the lovingly made and perfectly made Arkham Asylum. So what do you think?
