As if it needed to be told, Arkham Knight will give players access to a larger (but still not complete) area of Gotham City. From the looks of the trailer, we can see not just new areas of metropolitan grounds, but also some non-constructed sites including a lake and forest. While the latter may just be cinematic goodies thrown in for good mix, players can rest assured knowing that they'll be getting a map about five times the size of Arkham City. To be specific, the setting of the game won't be the entire city of Gotham, just three main districts called 'islands' by RockSteady. Players who were expecting an entire city shouldn't be disappointed in the least, as games like Arkham Origins and Assassin's Creed III have showed us that it doesn't matter how big your setting is; it's about how you use it. More space is being placed between buildings to loosen the claustrophobic feel of Arkham City (and obviously give room for the Batmobile). To give a final note on the matter, RockSteady has said "We're not trying to create the biggest open-world game ever. We are trying to create a really rich, vibrant, dense open world."
Red Stewart is big fan of the entertainment industry, with insights into film, television, and video games for starters. Despite growing up in the 21st century's era of modernization, he prefers many retro era ideas over the current trends found in many of today's media. Personally he's an introvert who loves reading as much as gaming.
